Surge Browser Is Coming Soon!

We started building Surge Browser, and it’s coming soon!
This Fall we’ll release the free, members-only Surge Browser for Mac, then for Windows. These will be “minimum viable” versions that we’ll update with more features as we go along. Our objective is to release Surge Browser asap so that people can start capitalizing on their clicks, as we believe they should. Recall: that’s what our cooperative business structure enables, and we pay out all our profits to our members in proportion to their clicks on our services.
After we get Surge Browser up and running for desktop, we’ll build versions for iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
To build Surge Browser, we’re modifying Chromium, which is a free browser codebase that props up big-time browsers, like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave.
The screenshot above shows our first modification of Chromium’s code. “Surge Browser” names our browser, and “User Cooperative” makes Surge Browser the World’s first tech product that belongs to the people. Pretty cool stuff.
