Here we come, San Fran!

Omidyar Network (“ON”), a big-time philanthropic organization on a mission to put humanity first in what they call the “digital revolution,” is hosting a reception on May 6 in San Francisco, and they invited me to attend!
So, here we come, San Francisco!
ON’s vision is a world in which humanity steers its own digital future, resulting in “shared power, prosperity, and possibility.” To realize that vision, ON supports initiatives in business, culture, governance, and technology, and ON has committed ~$2 billion to such initiatives. ON is named after their founders, Pierre and Pam Omidyar. Pierre founded eBay, and Pam founded multiple humanitarian enterprises.
This reception, which is called “Hardwiring Humanity into Our Digital Future,” is our opportunity to learn about ON’s five-year strategic plan, meet their team, and meet some of the folks behind the initiatives ON supports.
Like our DC trip last month, this is an incredible opportunity for us to start conversations with some of the sharpest minds and passionate advocates in our field and give our endeavor a boost.
A special and hearty thanks to our members who chipped in their hard-earned money to help us with our startup costs. Without you, this trip wouldn’t be possible. If you’re not a member and want to become one, all you have to do is make your mark.
